“Follow your heart.” You’ve heard it before and you’ll likely hear it again. This is something I’ve been working on over the last year and it’s incredible what can happen when you really start listening to your intuition (or your gut, like some people say) and follow your heart. You might fall in love, you might find a new career… just to name a few.
In life, we sometimes find contentment. Contentment can be very comfortable and easy. We won’t fail if we don’t try something new or put ourselves out there, right? Sometimes we need to strive for me. As humans, we naturally spend a lot of time in our own heads. What are your voices telling you? Do some of your voices conflict with one another? Begin to develop awareness. Both of your positive and negative talks. Acknowledge and recognize so you can find your most authentic inner voice, closest to your heart.
Naturally, we are typically pretty good at rationalizing our decisions as well. We are usually the greatest obstacle to our own dreams. How about the American dream of homeownership? According to a report on Trulia, it is 38% cheaper to own a home than to rent. There’s no better time than now to take that first step to buy a home and start building equity. Part of why I became a Realtor is because I am incredibly passionate about home-ownernship and helping others live the American dream of owning their own home!
Get out of your own way and follow your heart, there’s nothing stopping you!
